Alexandra N. Vinci, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified, pediatric hospitalist currently attending NYU Winthrop University Hospital and South Nassau Communities Hospital.

Alexandra earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Bioscience at SUNY Farmingdale College in 2007 and her Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2012.  Afterwards, she went on to complete a residency program at NYU Winthrop University Hospital and Children’s Medical Center where she also held the position of chief resident from 2015-2016.

Alexandra has extensive research experience in areas including, but not limited to, recurrent meningitis in pediatric patients, phototherapy for newborns, and immunoglobulins present in breast milk. In addition to her research experience, Alexandra is currently a fellow at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and a member of the AAP New York Chapter 2.  Alexandra is also a member of the Pediatric Quality Improvement Committee which focuses on various quality improvement projects in the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Winthrop University Hospital.  Additionally, she serves as both a member of the Program Evaluation Committee and the Clinical Competency Committee at NYU Winthrop Hospital. Alexandra is the Chairwomen for the Resident Initiated Global Medicine Education Inc. (REGME, Inc.), a non-profit organization that provides teaching opportunities in global medical education in Central American countries.

At Synergy Research, Alexandra holds the position of Safety Monitor for various programs and Sponsors.  As a Safety Monitor, she is responsible for safety oversight of ongoing clinical trials, continuous review of subject safety data, review of subject narratives, and causality review with the Sponsor, if necessary.
